Welcome to the Wellsboro Community Concert Association (WCCA) 77th year of live entertainment! Our 2025-2026 season again consists of six-concerts. Our Six-Concert Season Subscription is only $85! That's all Six Season Concerts for only $85; Unspoken Tradition, Mudmen, Driftwood, Matthew Ball, The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, and Greg Piccolo & Heavy Juice, which works out to only $14.17 per show! We offer student pricing and kids ages 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Student Season tickets ages (13-18) are $25, Individual student concert tickets are $5; Tickets for individual concert are available for $30 with the exception of the Cherish the Ladies Concert, which is a separate concert and not part of the WCCA Six-Concert 77th Season with all seats $39.

This year please consider a Combo-Season Subscription which includes the regular Six-Season concerts listed above PLUS the extra special bonus Cherish the Ladies Concert for $110- seven concerts for only $110! It's a savings of $14 for Cherish the Ladies over the individual ticket price of $39. for all seats.

​New Original Bluegrass

North Carolina based quintet Unspoken Tradition is a fast-rising voice of a new generation of roots music artists. Performing mostly new original Bluegrass nationwide at sold out shows they bring a sound that’s impassioned, nostalgic, hard-driving and sincere reflecting the culture of their state. They’ve performed at MerleFest twice and have heavy air play on streaming platforms. Their 2022 album, "Imaginary Lines," featured seven top-20 singles, and their 2019 album, "Myths We Tell Our Young" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts.  Several of their singles have charted in the Bluegrass Today top 20 and include hits like "California" (#1), "Irons in the Fire" (#2), and "Carolina and Tennessee" (#4). Performing together for years, band members are Audie McGinnis (Guitar & Vocals), Ty Gilpin (Mandolin & Vocals), Tim Gardner (Fiddle & Vocals), Sav Sankaran (Bass & Vocals), and Zane McGinnis (Banjo).  A show not to miss! This is the first show of the WCCA 6-Concert Season.

Celtic Rock Warriors​

Self-described Celtic Rock Warriors who took inspiration from the likes of the Irish Rovers and AC/DC, and combine Celtic sound with rock. Together for 27 with over 3000 performances and 11 albums, they’ve performed for legions of fans both internationally and at festivals and events throughout North America.They’ve covered, with bagpipes, AC/DC’s “It’s a Long Way to the Top”. They've been featured on major TV networks, video games, Videos on Much Music/MTV, and many pro sporting events. Mudmen have been guest of and or opened for the likes of ZZ Top, The Guess Who, Loverboy, April Wine, Helix, Johnny Reid, Nazareth, Glass Tiger, 54-40, The Irish Rovers, The Chieftains, John McDermott, Natalie MacMaster. Career highlights also include meeting and performing for the Queen. Mudmen band members are; founding members Sandy Campbell and Robby Campbell (Bagpipes), Colin Amey (Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar), Andy Gingerich (Drums), Alex Showdra (Electric Guitar & Banjo) and Emmett Glancie (Bass Guitar). The Canadian Mudmen believe nice guys can finish first while enjoying what you do translates to all audiences. A one-word description of Mudmen is FUN! This is the second concert of the WCCA 6-Concert 77th season.

Driftwood

Energizing Americana Folk Rock

The five-member band Driftwood, of Binghamton, New York, has been performing Americana folk rock with a nod to 1960s R&B, 1970s country rock, contemporary pop, folk and traditional Appalachian music since 2009. They're known for electrifying live performances, with melodies, harmonies, and lyrics bringing unique, raw sounds to the Americana/roots music scene. Driftwood has released six albums to date. Driftwood’ is composed of founding members Joe Kollar (Banjo & Guitar) and Dan Forsyth (Guitar) along with Claire Byrne (Violin), Joey Arcuri (Upright Bass) and Sam Fishman (Drums). Kollar, Forsyth and Byrne write original songs for the group and share the role of lead vocalist. Arcuri also sings. “We find our biggest inspiration amongst each other,” notes Claire Byrne. “We are constantly inspiring each other to do better." This is the third concert of the  WCCA 77th 6-Concert Season.

“The Boogie Woogie Kid”

Holiday Program with a Boogie-Woogie Twist

Matthew Ball, pianist, singer and songwriter performs fun live music with a fresh boogie-woogie piano twist to all we know & love from yesteryear, movies, and pop culture! Known as “The Boogie Woogie Kid,” this piano and song man has more than 5 million YouTube views and has been noted to have the “fastest fingers in the Mid-West". He'll present an upbeat program of New Orleans song, boogie-woogie piano and swing-era favorites, such as “In the Mood, Georgia, When the Saints Go Marchin' In, Amazing Grace, Moonglow, What a Wonderful World, and Bumble boogie, and other Classics from the American Song Book. This performance will include several Holiday tunes as well. His albums include "They Call Me the Kid Vol. 1" and "They Call Me the Kid Vol. 2."  A lifetime Metro-Detroiter, Ball trained classically at Oakland University and has gone on to perform in many states and internationally. This will be a fun show for the entire family. Children age 12 and under are free with a paying adult! This is the fourth concert of the WCCA 77th Six-Concert Season.

Cherish the Ladies

 Irish Music, Song and Step Dancers

Cherish the Ladies is celebrating four decades of making Irish music, song, and dance. The award winning long-running, Grammy-nominated, Irish-American super group formed in New York City in 1985. They’ve toured the world, played the White House and at the Olympics, recorded 17 outstanding albums and a live DVD, “An Irish Homecoming,” which recently won an Emmy. They’ve collaborated with such musicians as The Boston Pops, The Clancy Brothers, the Chieftains, Vince Gill, Nanci Griffith, Pete Seeger, Don Henley, Arlo Guthrie and Maura O’Connell. Under the leadership of All-Ireland flute and whistle champion Joanie Madden along with founding member Mary Coogan (Guitar), Mirella Murray (Accordion), Kathleen Boyle (Piano), Nollaig Casey (Fiddle), and Kate Purcell (Lead Vocals, Guitar) the ladies create an evening that includes a spectacular blend of virtuoso instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements.Cherish the Ladies always travel with the finest Irish dancers that include World Champions, National Champions along with Riverdance and Lord of the dance alumni! This concert is not part of the WCCA 77th Season.

John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band

All-Star Bluegrass Supergroup

The John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band (J2B2) is an all-star bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians, John Jorgenson (Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin and Vocals); Herb Pedersen (Banjo, Acoustic Guitar and Vocals), Mark Fain (Bass), and Patrick Sauber (Acoustic Guitar and Vocals). Their live shows, both nationally and internationally, have received stellar reviews. Their music is the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music at its finest. They combine forces to form a union of impeccable musicianship, incomparable songwriting, incredible harmony vocals (a fresh twist combining bluegrass with elements of West Coast folk rock) and seasoned showmanship. In addition to recording their first album From the Crow’s Nest, they’ve played at the Grand Ole Opry several times. Jorgenson and Pederson founded the Desert Rose Band. Jorgenson later founded the Hellecasters and toured with Elton John’s band for six years. Herb Pedersen was a member of The Dillards and has worked with Chris Hillman, Earl Scruggs, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Tony Rice, Dan Fogelberg, Stephen Stills, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Jackson Browne and John Denver.    Mark Fain toured and recorded for Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder for 13 years, the Dixie Chicks, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Dwight Yoakam, Allison Krauss and Dolly Parton. Patrick Sauber quickly made a name for himself in the world of bluegrass and old-time music. Adept on guitar, mandolin and banjo, Sauber has toured with Peter Rowan and Laurie Lewis and on screen in “The Mighty Wind”.  J2B2 will bring on a fantastic show! This is the fifth concert of the WCCA 77th Six-Concert Season.

Greg Piccolo and Heavy Juice

Jazz spiced with Blues, R&B, and Rock

Greg Piccolo has a legendry career spanning over 60 years. He continues to captivate audiences with timeless performances and unmatched artistry. A lifelong performer he’s never shied away from creating an engaging experience for his fans, ensuring that each show is as unique as it is memorable, spontaneous, with no set list, he’s driven by his mood and the energy of the moment. His unwavering commitment and skillful tenor saxophone playing, unique vocal style, and charismatic stage presence have earned him a respected place among the best in the industry. Greg has collaborated with Pat Benatar, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan including a multi-year stint with the "Tilt-A-Whirl" Band, Eric Clapton, Big Joe Turner, and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, among many others. Heavy Juice is composed of Shinichi Otsu (Organ/Piano/Bass) and Steve Langone (Drums), both are also respected educators at Berklee College of Music, further elevating the caliber of this performance. This show will be an unforgettable night of exceptional traditional jazz, flavored with blues, classic Rhythm & Blues along with a smidgen of Rock & Roll. Come and experience the magic of Greg Piccolo and Heavy Juice.

Past Fall 2024-Spring 2025 Concerts

Lovelight, a Premier Grateful Dead Tribute Band  

gave a high energy electrifying performance on

Sept. 28th, to the enjoyment of the many dedicated

Deadheads in the audience. Several of whom danced the

night away. The New Jersey based six member group

featured talented veteran musicians Special Guest 

Joni Bottari Lead Guitar, Dana Carroll Bass Guitar,

Sean Kelly Keyboard/Vocals, Michael Slom  Vocals,

Steve Sprague Jr, a Founding Member, Guitar/Vocals,

Todd Weiss on Drums. This was the first concert of the 

WCCA 76th Season.

Black Tie Groove gave a high-energy outstanding performance as the delighted audience time-traveled back to the days of Motown, Soul, Funk and more. The band received a well deserved standing ovation at the end of the evening. The New Jersey based group featured lead vocalists Erin Kukla and Eric Delaney; Keith Kukla on lead guitar; Tony Chibaro on drums; Joe Gorgolione on bass guitar; Joe Andreacchi on keyboards; and Ricky Paetzell on saxophone. This was the second concert of the WCCA 6-Concert 76th Season.

​The Kitchen Dwellers concert was phenomenal. The Montana-based Quartet, Shawn Swain (Mandolin), Torrin Daniels (Banjo), Joe Funk (Upright Bass), and Max Davies (Acoustic Guitar) with their unique twist on folk inspired bluegrass spiked with phantasmic vision and rock energy, played to a sold out extremely enthusiastic audience on Nov.1, 2024. This show was an extra concert and not part of WCCA's 76th Season.

Award-winning brothers, Eric and Leigh Gibson performed to an appreciative sold out crowd on Saturday Nov.16th. Both brothers are singer-song writers. Eric was on banjo and Leigh on guitar and mandolin with Eric Barber on bass. Kelley Gibson, Eric's son, also joined them on stage. It truly was a night of the finest Bluegrass.This was the third concert of the WCCA 6-Concert Season.

The Pennsylvania based trio, composed of Rose Baldino, Brian Buchanan, and Caroline Browning brought their unique brand of upcycled Celtic Folk music and Vintage Vibes to Wellsboro on Feb.15th. House of Hamill, performed to a very appreciative audience who honored their performance with a standing ovation. It was a fantastic night of mesmerizing harmonies and great music. This was the fourth concert of the WCCA 6-Concert Season. 

The ‘Gaelic Supergroup’ Dàimh from Scotland, gave an outstanding performance on March 15th. Playing to a packed house they lived up to their title of a of supergroup performing thrilling jigs and reels and poignant ballads. The band featured Angus Mackenzie (Highland Pipes/Border Pipes/Whistles), Gabe McVarish (Fiddle), Ellen MacDonald (Gaelic Songs), Murdo Cameron (Mandola/Mandolin), and Rose Martin (Guitar). This is the fifth concert in the WCCA 6-Concert Season.

The EG Kight Trio gave an exhilarating performance featuring EG's unique blend of roots music to an appreciative crowd on April 5th. EG's rich vocals, and captivating guitar style thoroughly entertained the audience in true Southern style Blues. On stage with EG's trio were Gary Porter (drums/harmonica) and Ken Wynn (guitar/dobro).

This was the final concert of the WCCA 77th Season.
